A dry-processed coffee, it is one of the oldest coffee beans still produced, almost entirely sorted and processed by hand, and is known for its distinctive fruity, wine flavour.

The Longberry variety consists of the largest beans, is increasingly hard to find, and are often considered of the highest quality, in both value and flavour.

The Longberry has a complex acidity, distinct aroma and flavors of chocolate, spices, and wild fruitiness that is unmistakable.   A truly wonderful coffee for the coffee connoisseur.

Description

It was in Ethiopia that long ago the first wild coffee plantations were discovered.  Indeed, the word coffee might well originate from the Ethiopian coffee region “Kaffa”.

Harrar is located in the Eastern highlands of Ethiopia with an altitude varying between 1510 – 2120 meters.  The Harrar Longberry is famous the world over and one of the highest valued specialty Ethiopian Arabica coffees in the world.  A dry-processed coffee, it is one of the oldest coffee beans still produced, almost entirely sorted and processed by hand, and is known for its distinctive fruity, wine flavour.

The Longberry variety consists of the largest beans, is increasingly hard to find, and are often considered of the highest quality, in both value and flavour.  The Coffee Cube is fortunate to have secured a limited supply of the finest late 2014 harvested beans.

Roasted to a medium roast (Full City), the Longberry has a complex acidity, distinct aroma and flavors of chocolate, spices, and wild fruitiness that is unmistakable.
